Privacy Policy

LifeChapter ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Your personal memories and content belong to you — always.

Account information: When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you sign up via Google, we receive the profile information Google provides.

Content you create: Journal entries, timeline events, photos, family profiles, time capsules, and other content you add to LifeChapter are stored securely on your behalf.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics (pages visited, features used) to improve the product. We do not sell this data.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

• To provide, maintain, and improve LifeChapter
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, trial reminders)
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To respond to your support requests
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Everything you write, upload, or create in LifeChapter is yours. We do not read, sell, or share your personal content with third parties. Your content is stored encrypted at rest using Supabase (built on AWS) infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — application hosting
• Law enforcement when required by law

Your account and content are retained for as long as you maintain an account. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your content within 30 days. You may request earlier deletion by emailing support@lifechapter.io.

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

You may at any time:

• Access or export your data from Settings → Export
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of non-essential emails from Settings

LifeChapter is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of LifeChapter after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
